‘NUDE 1’, 36″ x 48″, acrylic on canvas, private collection ‘First Series’ began my work with the nude. After years of focusing on larger than life size heads I chose to step back shifting my gaze from the face to take in the figure. To begin my exploration of nudes I turned my gaze first upon myself creating this series of self portrait nudes. Nude 1 was created in 2009 with the intention that new work would be added into the future.
